Buckwheat

Soba

In 2015, the company has begun the process of introducing Japanese buckwheat of “Kitawase” variety from Hokkaido, Japan, to Mongolian soil. This variety is well suited to dry and cool climate of Mongolia and does not require pesticides and fertilizers for crop protection. Estimated average harvest per hectare is 1.0-1.5 tons.

Rapeseed, a plant of high economic value, is grown for production of edible oils and biodiesel. It is also extensively used as an ingredient of metallurgy, soap, animal skin and textile production. Since the end of 20th century, an economic value of rapeseed has been steadily increasing.

Rapeseed is an annual plant, resistant to cold weather and drought. It is proven to grow well in Mongolian climate.
